Also, do the back seats in the Crew cab recline at all?  Just wondering b/c the back seats in my Murano have an option to be able to recline a little.  Just wondering if the seats in the titan are like this as well.
No recline, but they are very comfortable, not vertical like some Extended Cab trucks.

Also nice is that they can be folded flat against the back of the cab, and there is an absolutely huge amount of inside storage like this.  You can stow a lot of stuff under the seat as well.  Not a lot of storage behind the seats, but enough for me.

I have been getting 15 1/4 MPG on county roads with only 800 miles on my 05 king cab, I expect to get 17 to 19 hwy, as for anything else look on the top of the truck over the cab, where the side skin's are welded to top, the quality of the sealent and paint is very poor, I am making my local dealer smooth and repaint mine.

First off you you are buying a Titan and looking at the mileage go buy a neon. We are talkingh about the fastest 1/2 ton on the road except the specialty trucks. The biggest one of the bunch also. Gas mileage hopefully isn't that big of an issue.

I average 15 mpg even using the 4x4 during the snowy days.  The neighbor has a 2004 Ford F-150 2-wheel drive and only gets 14 mpg.  Remember the Titan is a truck that is putting out 305 plus horsepower.  You don't make horsepower without using fuel. The truck is fast and fun to drive.

No word on the brake problems.  Every Ford or Chrylser vehicle since the early 70's I owned had rotor problems.  Braking causes friction (heat) which tends to wrap the rotors.

Bottom Line.  GO GET THE TITAN AND ENJOY IT!  You only go around once in life.

The other thing that was holding me back was the gas milage.  I have about a 27 mile commute to work but for the most part, I can cruise at around 50 mph.  Some people had told me that I won't be able to go 380-400 miles on a tank, but I've read differently on this board.  As long as I can get close to 380-400, I will be happy.

I also have a 27 mile one way trip to work every day.  Half of it is on the interstate.  I have 4x2 and big tow and I usually get about 385 miles before I fill up.  The fuel light will come on at around 335 but if you fill up then, it will only take 23 gallons and it is a 28 gallon tank. All in all, its about 15mpg and that is very acceptable for a truck this powerful.  As far as other problems, I have had only one, a check engine light and no control of the VDC but once I had it reset, no further problems.  Only 2200 miles so far though.

Finally, some intelligent responses.  Thank you very much bigshowjoe and vals titan!!!

I went and test drove a crew cab SE with big tow, trac. pkg and utility bed and an SE with utility bed pckg on Saturday.  I'm sold on getting the SE Crew Cab with Util. Bed Pckg.  The ride was much better than the one with the big tow.  It might have just been me though.  Just waiting to find one in smoke!!

Good Luck on your search.

Suggestion. For a no hassel deal.

I purchased the Titan by way of the Internet Sales Department at the local Nissan dealer.  I drove through their lot and saw the truck.  I then went on the delaer website and emailed back my request. They called back on a Saturday morning and I drove the new Titan home that afternoon.

2005 Titan LE, silver, king cab, 4x4, big tow package.  Added the Nissan rubber mats and a Truxedo Lo-Pro tonneau cover.

Great vehicle with the heated seats on a cold winter morning.  Truck warms up fast. Also doing a 30 mile one way commute.

Mileage? 28 gallon tank, figure the light should come on about 25-26 gallons out, running about 13mpg....nope, not going to fit your mileage window.

You'll feel a ride difference between the off road and non off road. Tow or no Tow should not make a difference. Crew vs. King I don't know really. One thing I can say... The combos I drove last year KC/CC Off RD etc. all rode harsh to a varying degree. My KC BT did also when I picked it up.

Got it home and the tires had 50PSI vs the normal 35. I think the tires are all pumped up for transport - less sway in the carriers. That makes a huge change in the ride quality

What you drove probably had incorrect tire pressure.
