After having just re-read all the posts under this subject, I don't think that most were complaining about their mileage per say. I think they (myself included) just wanted to know what others were getting so we could compare notes. In fact, most even qualified their statements by adding that they "didn't buy the truck for the gas mileage", or admit that their less than stellar fuel economy was due to their lead foot....lol. Others that did complain seemed most upset by the fact that they weren't receiving the EPA ratings posted on the sticker...I'll include myself in that group as well....lol...However, I have never gotten the posted fuel mileage of ANY vehicle I have ever owned, so no big surprise there either. My Titan has gotten as high as 17.5 mpg Hwy, 13.5 mpg city, and I am pleased with that, but the advertised 15/19 would be even better. I love my Titan, wouldn't trade it for nothing else on the road....keep on truckin.

Still breaking mine in (500 miles) and I get around 350 miles to the tank, thats stop and go driving. Have not gone on any trips yet. I drive with a pretty lite foot right now due to break-in.

Well I see everyone's said something on this post except me. My Titan has over 13,000 miles on it and it has been running on the average of 14 mpg since the day I got it with only 20 miles on the guage. I've been gentle, I've been rough, took a trip up north and do lots of different types of driving. I absolutely love this truck! The gas milage is the only sore spot for me, but I too didn't buy it for the milage. I've kept track of my fill-up since I bought it back in late Feb. and typically I go 275 mile on 20 gals of gas.
Enjoy!

OK people here is th low down on octane rating. Hi or low octane has nothing to do with gas milage, the higher octane rating has an additive to decrease anti knuck for higher compression engines that require advanced timing. Simple as it sounds..

I have 6500 miles on mine and have seen anywhere from 12 to 18 mpg. If I am towing my boat I expect around 10! I did get one of those cyclone/tornado type products on ebay for $25 and it improved my gas mileage by 1-2 mpg.I put it in at about 4000 miles and can see an improvement in mileage. I recently went on a 425 mile trip (from Oakland to Orange County) and made it on 1 tank.
All it is is a thin fan-like piece that you slide inside your intake tube between the air filter and intake. Supposedly it creates a vortex or swirling motion with the air, causing better atomization of the fuel, therefore increases in gas mileage. The manufacturer says that it improves HP. I haven't noticed that though.
Check it out at ebay. The title is ADD gas mileage +5-10 MPG Nissan Maxima/Altima/Titan

I've never taken the time to actually right down the milage. I'm going off what the computer is saying. If you reset it on the freeway at speed. In a mile or so it wil be telling you your getting 18. I'm likein that way of keeping track better.
