Sounds neat..I guess you still have to remove the skid plate??  where you get the wrench ?

You do still have to remove the skid plate.  I ordered the filter wrench online.  I don't recal where now as it was over 6 months ago.  I couldn't find one locally at the auto parts stores due to the small diameter needed.

Just measure the diameter of your filter, then look online for a wrench that will fit it.

I took my Titan to Jiffy lube To let those guys screw up the first Oil-change. The skid-plate has four screws to remove to get at filter -then he grabbed a pair of channel-locks to twist-off. on a nifty note under where the filter mounts is a little uh like trough for the oil to spill onto the floor and not the truck. From now on i'm doing my own oil-changes!!!!!!!!!!! Can't trust'em with my baby! But hey you learn  something from the "professionals"?

I did my 1st oil change..spent about $16 on oil, filter and crush gasket. Then discovered I had to remove the skid plate to get to the filter. Decided it wasnt worth saving $5-6 to do it myself so I let my dealer do the 2nd change last weekend. They asked me if it was my first change, and I told them I did the first one but this was the first time they had done it so they did it for free...Then they gave me a little keyring and told me if I would bring that with me each time they would only charge me $19.95 for each oil change...so guess who's gonna change my oil from now on? ...lol

Having fought with this pesky plate a couple of times now I'm thinking that when I get time again I might just modify this thing a bit to access the filter.

That is a drag.  I am always very careful with those four skid plate bolts.  They are small enough, they are just waiting to be stripped accidentally

I ahve had no issue with the bolts but the damn filter was crazy. I finally got it off but not until the spider cut the filter open and locked it in a death drip. The ramp is cool but the position of the drain nut seems stupid. Why not have it facing rearward-the oil drains out better. I thought the front diff was much more of a PITA.
