 BLOOD PRESSURE
PROBLEMS FROM REPEATED REPAIRS OF UNKNOWN BRAKE
HAZARDS....NOT ONLY THAT THE STEERING COLUMN IS LOOSE THE
STEERING WHEEL GOES UP AND DOWN..THE STEERING WHEEL
SHAKES WHEN YOU PUT ON THE BRAKES...I AM TRYING TO PULL A
19 FOOT TRAVEL TRAILER AND WE CAN NOT GO ANYWHERE WITH
THIS TITAN...30,000 DOLLARS IN CASH WHAT A MISTAKE ..ONLY
HAD IT 5 MONTHS....THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED 
WHO HAS SPARE MONEY FOR LAWYERS???ALL MY TIME WASTED
..TOOK 5 MONTHS TO GET STEERING PART...THANK GOD WE HAVE A
100,000 MILE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRENTY THAT WE BOUGHT...I
FEEL SORRY FOR THE REST OF YOU...

wah wah wah no such thing as a bumper to bumper 100k warranty..Your salesman got you and thats why your are mad a t the TITAN... I have alot of people that tow and can not belive the amount of power. Remember one thing If your Gonna Play U gotta pay.. drive it like it was meant for and you wont have these problems! Does this 19 foot trailer have its trailer brakes hooked up to the Titan trailer brake system? You paid 30k? You probalby paid 1500.00 for a warranty thats is only good for 40k miles...Nissan warranty is BtB 3yrs or 36k miles and Powertrain for 5yrs and 60k miles...Better read Your warranty. So dont feel sorry for us because you cant understand what you are told or read.. I feel sorry for U!

I tow a 27' travel trailer with no problems, just a little sway, not as tight as my old Silverado 2500 HD but the chevy had 2 engines and 3 transmissions in under 32000 miles, so far the Titan is great (2004)

Does anyone know is Nissan has come out with a permanent fix for the
brake problem. My truck has had them repaired twice and it has
started to vibrate again at 13k miles.

Check the latest TBI.... Nissan has extended coverage on the brakes to 36K, and has a fix for the 2004 and early 2005 models. The fix is upgraded rotors, pads, pins, and some damping thing. Don't expect the dealer to have any as my dealer had just received the conformation a couple weeks ago that stated only "Limited numbers are available until mid MAY"
PS. if you have had any issues with the windows not rolling back up on the first try they have new switch sets to fix that glitch too................

I'm suppose to take my 2004 Titan in for the second time to have the brake problem repaired. I think my steering wheel is going to shake off any time now. Service department said they will have a permanent fix for it by June or July.We'll see. I also will have my window switch looked at because the windows seem to be alittle stubborn, they dont want to go up when I want them to go up. I love this big powerful truck but I'm starting to get a little worried about all the repairs.

Well I never buy a first year vehicle. I had my eye on the Titan all thorughout 04 then I bought one in 05. I personally have a 34 foot searay sundancer it weighs 12,500lbs I have big tow and I know that the rating is only 9,500 but the suspension handles it with no problem, the gas sucks though but thats the price you have to pay. Remember what seperates the men from the boys is the price of the toys. But your a woman so no wonder your truck is all messed up DEBBY.

my dad has the same prob. they put defective rotors on all the titans.!!so if it does it to you.take it to the dealer and they fix it for freeeeeeeeee!!!!! it will come back if you just shave the rotors!you have to buy new ones

My mechanic, not Nissan told me that the brake rotors are too soft
which makes them warp.
Nissan dealer agreed and said that they MUST trim the rotors twice
before they can replace them.
Has anyone found a good set of aftermarket brakes to go on the Titan.
I have had my rotors trimmed twice so now they have to replace but I
am thinking that I will just put better brakes on all around.

 I have been keeping an eye on this topic, and I have to say that it seems most of you with this brake deal are driving 04 models. I think I read only one post stating that they had an 05. Now I bought my 05 LE KC 4x4 in May. I have around 3,000 mi. on it. I am just now starting to notice a slight pulse in the wheel when braking hard. A lot of this problem, although not the cause, has to do with the way you drive. Some victims have reported the problem occuring at low mileages of say 3000 to 7000 miles. Still others have not noticed it until 10-15,000 miles. If most of your driving is done on the highway, you will probably fall in the latter category. Fast starts and stops, however, will only escalate the problem quicker. Now after researching this on several forums, I have finally come to the conclusion that the problem is definitely due to a design flaw. (not enough beef to the rotors to handle the heat buildup from braking a vehicle in the 1/2 ton realm). A funny thing is, when I first was interested in this truck, upon reading the brochure, the specs. on the brakes state that the front & rear brakes are made by Bosch (good company) and that the front ones are vented (meaning holes in the rotors for heat dissapation???). Well, mine have no holes, so now we have a false advertising issue possibly.  I happen to have a dealer who ranks tops when it comes to reputation, so I am fairly confident that if I have to go in for this problem, I will have it fixed right the first time, period.
