After buying and driving Fords for the past 30 years I have just ordered a new Titan SE w/off Road and Big Tow packages. My Ford dealer just didn't want to sell me a truck since his prices were 3000 to 6000 more than the Titan. Hoping I made the right choice.

I agree with you, I too have had multiple fords, omn may 30 my f-150 was totaled. A nunber of things turned me off to the f-150, and the bottom line was price. I too have all the goods. Ext. cab , big tow, off road, bed extender , rockford fosgate captain chairs... A comparable ford in my area is around 34 - 36,000.

I walked out the door at 29,000

I'm still debating between the F150 and the Titan.  Ford has years of experience in building trucks over Nissan.  But then there's Nissan quality which I believe is up there with Ford Trucks (Ford cars are a different story).  But then these are both first year run trucks.  I think my head is going to explode.

I was thinking about getting the new F150, but since the performance is so much better with the Titan I decided to go with that. Plus, I think the Titan looks a lot better and has a better interior than the F150.

Friday I stopped by a buddies shop that does window tinting, alarms etc.  We were standing out in front of his place when a guy pulls up in a brand new( as in a couple hours new) Ford crew 4x4 lariat - loaded up to the hilt with 5.4 and the works.  When he got out he came by us looked at my TITAN and said 'yah I looked at these too.  I wish your motor was in my truck.  I just got this a couple hours ago'

Being polite, I said "yah it runs good" "your truck is nice also, I looked at those too."

He started talking to the guy that runs the shop and I as I gave his truck a look over, I thought to myself,  just like when I went and looked the Ford, there is nothing about my TITAN I wish was like this Ford.

And I have had several fords throughout my life.

69 Cougar, 71 Cougar, 77 cougar, 78 Ranger, 87 Thunderbird, 87 escort, 88 Bronco, 90 mustang 5.0, 92 F150, 95 Bronco, 98 Expedition.

My last 2 vehicles have been NISSAN though..!!!

I am in the market for a new truck (thats one of the reasons I am on this forum).  Curenntly own a Ford 150.  I test drove both the Ford F150 and a Titan last Saturday.  I truely did like both trucks,  but I think I will have to go with the Titan.  It has a far better engine / drive train, a lot of nice convienience features that the Ford lacks and it CHEAPER for being equally equiped!  The best thing I like about the ford was the quiet ride- but thena again the Titan is pretty close in that department also.

The Ford is a nice truck.  I think the difference in the ride is because the Ford weighs about 900lbs more. Even with the 5.4 the Ford feels heavy.  Either way both trucks are new technology and everything else on the market is a dinosaur in regards to frame construction, suspension and design.   The Ford will surely sell more trucks also.  It's really what is important to you.  I like the sportier look and performance of the TITAN. The ford had a nicer ride but my TITAN felt like it handles better and the engine performance is way better than the Ford.

Good luck and know anything you read here is not biased....

I bought my Titan SE 4x4 Crew Cab with Big Tow Package for 29K.  This was 8K less than the absolute lowest price the Ford dealer would sell a F150 crew cab with 4x4.

Also dont forget the Titan beat out the F150 in both the 4 wheeler magazine - 4 wheel drive of the year and the Boat magazine for trailering capabilities.  You can find these articles linked up through nissanusa.com
