Back in March, when I talked to a sales rep at Good Guys, he said that the Titan's stereo was linked to some of the electronic systems, and could not be replaced. A after market stereo would have to be installed independant of the Titan's systems. Was he telling the truth or just full of hot air.

My dealer hasn't got back to me with a reply.

I have the Six disc cd changer, not the rockford setup.

I don't know for certain, but maybe you could call a place like Car Toys (or some other reputable stereo installer in your area) and see if they have any info.

I sure would think they could figure something out.

Let us know.

I know of several people who have replaced the system.....the problem you run into is the dash panel itself......you can order a version of this panel for the Armada that has a double DIN opening and slip any aftermarket radio in (you just need a filler for the other part)....I think the Good Guy was just clueless........now if you have the rear seat controls...you will lose that......and the steering wheel controls unless you find an adapter for them (which does exist just can't remember from where)...............
