Don't know if anyone else has seen it yet but I thought was cool that they had an article about the baja 1000 titan.

I also thought it was cool to read that the team had a toyota for the race but 8 weeks before the race it was stolen so they got a titan and hooked it up. For a truck that was built in 8 weeks and was never tested in a race of this type it came in second place in its class.

I'm interested in how the suspension is set up, I mean did it use stock mounting locations and what the components were.

The class that truck runs in is called "stock full" and the rules make the trucks keep most of the stock components. On hte front they used a DRE replacement coil-over (like the one they will be releasing soon) in the stock location and then an additional 2.5" bypass shock mounted to the rear of the lower a-arm and connecting behind the upper a-arm. The bypass was mounted to tabs welded to a stock lower a-arm.  But the stock upper and lower arms were retained (as were all the front axle/drive components). I elive front trave is around 9 inches. The rear used two 2.5" shock on either side (one on each side was a bypass) and they were on custom mounts, but still completely under the bed. The spring pack was replaced with ha custom Deaver set andthe travle is around 15". I havent riden in the truck , but in the next few weeks im hoping too. Keep in mind the truck runs a cage front to rear. The motor is stock except  for the headers and air box. Even the interior has most of the stock stuff left. THe trans and rear-end are bone stock, you cant even gusset them in this class. Let me know if you want more details.
