I want to know because my buddy has convinced me to put on the B&B exhaust myself.

I called B&B and they said welding is not necessary.

It's not necessary, but welding will seal the exhaust system much better. I guess it depends what you're using the truck for. Does it really need to be sealed completely?

If I spent the money on an after market exhaust system I'd want the best it could provide. Welded joints would be the best seal in my mind.
