Okay, I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a 2005 Titan Crew Cab SE (hopefully today).  I've been going back and froth on the purchase but I think I'm sold!

Quick question:  Is it a bad assumption to assume that a lot of the problems with the 2004's have been corrected in the 2005's?  I know there were a lot of problems witht he brakes but other than that, I haven't heard about much else.

Thanks in advance!!

Brakes problem won't be fixed for a few months. What other problems are you worried about?

The other thing that was holding me back was the gas milage.  I have about a 27 mile commute to work but for the most part, I can cruise at around 50 mph.  Some people had told me that I won't be able to go 380-400 miles on a tank, but I've read differently on this board.  As long as I can get close to 380-400, I will be happy.

I have a buddy that has an 04 armada and he has problems with the brakes as well as the windows not rolling up.  Are the windows still an issue?

I also can't decide between White or Smoke?  I think I'm going to get SE Crew with Pop Pack, Capt. Chairs, Util. Bed Pck, and Track Package.  Don't think I need the big tow.

The Big Tow wasn't a must have for me, but I wanted Trac & Trac seems to be bundled with Big Tow, and I didn't want to special order.

The Big Tow diff ratio causes the revs to go up on the frwy and your gas mileage to go down.

Since I never go past 65mph, it doesn't worry me.

Remember many mid-size trucks and suvs don't get that much better mileage.

If that still worries you, wait for the Titan hybrid.

Haha, think I might be waiting for awhile on that hybrid.

Thanks for the info on the Big Tow.  If I can get the truck I want without the big tow, it sounds like that would be ideal.

Actually, one more question:  What are the main advantages of the trac pack?  I've found two trucks that I may try to deal on tonight, one is white with the track package and the other is smoke without the trac package.  I'd really like the smoke one I think, but not sure how big of a deal the track package will make?  Any help here?

Also, do the back seats in the Crew cab recline at all?  Just wondering b/c the back seats in my Murano have an option to be able to recline a little.  Just wondering if the seats in the titan are like this as well.

Also, I like the "smoke" grey color wheels that I've seen on some of the trucks.  Are these the ones that come with the SE trim level?

Its a 305 hp fullsize truck.  I see so many people expecting to get the kind of mileage a 2WD 4 cyl truck has.   You will probably get 15 on the freeway, 13 in town.  That is what I get and that is what my old truck (2000 F150) got, but with 40 less hp and 80 less ft lbs of torque.  Have no illusions that you will be getting 4 banger mileage out of the most powerful 1/2 ton fullsize truck made.

I own a 2003 C5 Corvette (V8 350 hp) and I routinely get 20+ mpg.  I'm 28 years old, so yes, I do drive it like I stole it.  And no, I'm not getting rid of the vette to get the Titan.

I realize that this is a much bigger and heavier vehicle but would like to think they are not misleading customers with what they list on the sticker, although it sounds like they are.  Like I said, 380-400 miles on a tank and I will be happy.
