I wonder if the Main Office gives extra money or kickbacks to the Nissan dealership for dealing with people that have a special purchase plan.

For example, if two people were to buy the same Titan. One has the VPP and the other does not.

Lets say, if the MSRP of a truck is $30,000 and you are able to talk them down (without the VPP) to $25,000 and you get the rebates.

And say the other person (with the VPP) happens to get the same price of $25,000 and rebates.

Now, does the Nissan Dealership get extra money from Nissan's main office because they worked with a VPP person?

Probably so in one way or another as I have VPP access.

My dealer said he can get me a better price without it which i thought was strange.

i would check with another dealer for the vpp price on the same truck you want then go back to the guy who says he can do better and get his price then just compare. just a little work could save you $

I purchased my 2004 last April under the VPP. I ordered the truck direct from the factory and wanted specific things (side air bags). AT THAT TIME,place etc. the VPP was the way to go for me.

On the other hand  -NOW, depending on what you want and where you are the VPP may not be as attractive.

Hey, get the invoice $$ on line , figure in the VPP discounts and see where you end up.

I used the VPP, I work for Gulfstream Aerospace. The dealer or dealers I should say, just making sure I was getting the right price, said that they get money back from nissan if a purchaser uses the VPP.
