This is a great forum for Titan owners!  I am not quite an owner yet but it is the truck I want.  The one thing that is stopping me is the brake issues everyone is reporting.  I read all the information and it was great but I still have a couple of questions:

1.  Did they fix this problem on the 05's?

2.  Is there a certain date model that already have the fix kits installed?

3.  How do I tell if the truck has the upgraded parts?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Think of it like this.  If all the people that DIDN'T have brake issues posted it, then it would not seem like a problem.   It does exist though but its not a big enough problem to do a full recall on and if you have the problem, Nissan will fix it.  To answer your question, I don't know exactly when the date for the updated parts was but if you buy a new truck from a lot now, you will have the update.  I rolled 10,000 miles on mine this morning (bought in Jan. '05) and I have had no problems at all.  Go for it.  You will love the truck.

Well, I have had my truck over a year, 25000 miles later, no issues with the brakes at all! Drive on!

Listen man, If it's not to late get a different truck.  The Titan is the biggest piece of sh*t I've ever owned and Nissan service is non exsistant.  If it can go wrong with a Titan it has gone wrong for me.  Dash rattles more and more everytime I take it in to get fixed.  Carpet is ruined from an AC leak.  Weather striping leaks when it rains hard.  The brakes of course.  The f**king air pressure sensor light has been on since i got a flat about a year ago, even though I've had the tires replaced.  I about to trade it for an F-250, if Ford will take it.

You are an idiot.  You can't base YOUR experience on the whole company.  Do you think there has never been an F-250 with problems.  If your truck was that bad then why didn't you get Nissan to buy it back.........????.....  They would have.

There are titans with alot of problems....mine included. Two rearends, one new bed (blisters in bed two times), driver seat, passenger seat, brakes, many ac parts, rattles, electric fan, and seat belts. With that being said, this truck has alot of power and alot of great features. I love it. It has left me deside the road 150 miles form home with NO way to get my boat home. At this point I can say two things.....(1) I love driving this truck and (2) I am looking at other trucks for dependability. I do not know what I will do.

What can I say?  I started with a chevy, had a '98 Ford F-150, and drive a '02 F-150 4X4 for work.  I was impressed, but this Titan, I think it is the best of them all.  Yes Ford did brag about it's pulling torque, now it's Titans turn.  I think the appearance of the Titan makes the F-150 look outdated.  This truck is just impressive.

I experienced the Ford blown sparkplug problem, and can't beleive they would engineer such an inferior head, what where they thinking?

So Hats off to the Nissan Titan.  I've waited for you, always wanted a full size Nissan not a Toyota.  I hope to remain loyal as time passes, we will see?

For example try this.  Open a hood on a new F-150 and close it. Now try it on the Titan?  There is no comparison on the quality the Titan is solid the Ford is cheap.
