Has anyone else noticed the oil pressure going too high under
acceleration? When my truck is cold, the oil presure will jump up
under moderate acceleration. I have seen it hit "H" while merging
into traffic on the highway (no, I'm not lead footing it while it's
still cold). It isn't as bad once it has warmed up, but I still
notice the gauge moving. I have never seen this on any other car
I have owned. I had the dealer check it out today, and they said
that a new truck they had on the lot did it, too. They said it
was normal. I don't remember this happening when I got my
truck. I only have 3800 miles on it.

Are you low on oil? It can cause odd readings.

Completely normal. The only gauge in the industry that gives you a "real-time" reading.

Same here. I give it a few minutes to warm up. It only goes high when I stomp on it before the truck is warmed up.

I've noticed that it seems a little high when first starting up after the truck has been sitting a while. But after a mile or so of driving, it goes to normal.

The only real time gauge? Per Nissan? Porsche has been doing it for years and years and years. My 1980 SC has a real time guage and my 1988 735i had one as well.....has to be per Nissan.
