drove my truck to the dealer yesterday for a transmission problem. a/t light turned on and truck doesn't jump when i step on the gas. sucks!!!! il keep you posted. truck has 6t miles only.

I had the same problem once. Found out that I didn't give the computer enough time to recognize that it was "time to go". So, it went into shutdown mode. It seemed to bee real sluggish like the transmission wasn't hooking up. I turned off the truck for a few minutes and started it back up, waited a few seconds then shifted, worked like it always had. Went ahead and took it to the dealer and the service tech told me about the whole computer thing. Mine too had about 6k miles or maybe less.

yikes..thought i busted the tranny...i love that truck and i don't mind going back to the dealer over and over just to have it fixed. for as long as i have the warranty, they'll see my foot up their F?!KN A!!

ur right big bear. they did a tsb on my truck. they said they put a dielectric (something) on the truck's electrical connection(transmission). all is good. thanks for the info

they put dielectric grease on the electrical connections. :)
