I Also Just pick up my 2005 XE 3 days Ago, and I must say I like it alot.  However I can tell you purchasing the vehicle was kind of a pain since the dealership/Sales person was not the best in the customer svc dept.  I am not sure if they thought I wasn't going to buy or not (Since I look very young for my age...its in my gene's i guess...hahhaha).  However I had my wife and child there for several hours and I was getting very upset. 

Nevertheless I got the vehicle at the price I wanted $21.200 out the door, drove home on dealer tags, the next day sometime that night I was driving my mom on the highway and saw this light flashing on the dash...NO windshiled washer fluid (Bone dry).  I take the car back to the dealership the next day to get my tags, and tell them that the windshiled washer fluid is low, they never even did the Pre-Delivery Inspection on the car, the sheet was still in my car blank.  So of course now the wife is steaming, so while we are waiting on the plates, registration, and fluid check my wife goes and speaks to the GM of the store and gives it to him, I told her she doesn't want me to go cause it won't be pretty.  the DAMN GM of the store is the one who went and got my plates, registration, and gave me a check for overpayment I made.  so of course now they are trying to save face for there lack of Customer Service, they Fill my tank up with gas, give me some wheel locks and told me to bring the car in tomorrow for a detail and another gas up. Even the receptionist up there were like, MAN!! you guys are here again.....

Forgot to mention above this was a showroom car I bought and it was not very clean to me. Hince the detail job.

My Sales Rep was NEW!! Didn't know to much about the car at all, or gave me BAD info..like saying hey your car is XM ready just make the phone call and you are good...then I find this GREAT!!! forum and see that was completely false, he didn't go over the car with me and the wife at all, to explain what the components were or anything......needles to say he must of messed up in the pass also cause he was fired.

So now of course they want me to give them an Excellent on there survey (We all know why) when I get it in the mail.  The wife is like NOPE they won't get an excellent from us. So That is my story, all is good now I am glad I won't need to use them for anything since I am moving to Florida. there SVC was terrible.

What do you expect!  You practically stole the car from them.  Good job man!  Don't give them any good survey.

Good price for the truck, and agree with you on the terrible service.

I wouldn't give them an excellent rating on their survey, but be sure to add that the GM did what it took to make up for lack of quality service. I've heard worse about people not even getting the save face part of your ordeal.
