Just curious if anyone is using an external MP3 player plugged into their stock stereo.  I have the 6 disc CD changer but would like to know for sure before I go out and buy a MP3 player (probably iPod) that it will really work with the stereo without to many problems.

I've got an Archos AV420 media center and it works great. It sounds just as good as the CD player once you turn up the volume a bit. All you need is a $4 cord from RadioShack that has two male headphone ends on it. Oh, and make sure it's stereo.

There were earlier posts about this, but have fallen off of the list. No one seemed to have any trouble.

Thanx for the response.  Ya I searched for info but did not find any.  Ended up at another Titan forum with a little larger volume of people on it and saw that there were no issues there.  Ended up going with Sirius instead.  Weighing out the price of an iPod with downloads at .99 decided might be cheaper in the long run to just get Sirius.

Any MP3 player should work just fine, i have on hooked up to my RF system also. Just as JMAcouger stated you might need to crank it up a notch or two, no biggie.

I'm using an iRiver HP140 using the line-out port on the iRiver to the AUX jack on the truck.  Sounds sweet as hell!.

Make sure you use the line-out feature on your MP3 player, if it has one.  The headphone jack will degrade the audio quality across to the AUX jack on the stereo.  Id did anyway on my iRiver.

I'm running a Creative Zen Xtra through the AUx on the dash and it is great but Fry's only had a 6 foot cable but it was only 2 bux. It great but you will need to trun the volume up as others have stated. Enjoy its nice to have all your collection at hand.
