Here is a dumb question, so please forgive me in advance. I have a King Cab LE with the Rockford Fosgate audio system. There are ten speakers, but I can only count seven, maybe an eighth. I counted three across the dashboard, and one on each door (4). Is there a speaker under the driver's seat, and if so, where are the other two located?

Well you counted 3 on the dash.  There is one in each of the front 2 doors.  Then 2 in each of the rear doors and then the sub under the drivers seat.

thats not entirely correct.  In numerous factory systems the difference is that the factory system when upgraded has an amp that powers the speakers rather then just using deck power.  Take the monsoon system used in GM and VW for example.  Some guys have had success in Sound Quality stereo competitions by keeping the factory midbass because it performed so well.  In the end it all depends on your expectations and what you'd like under warranty, say for instance you install an aftermarket system and fry your electrical system which isn't too likely but anything is a possibility.

I custom made a box for under the left rear seat which houses a 12" RF RFD 2212 Sub with 750 watt amp.  NOW it sounds SAWEET!!

Help. I'm considering going with the factory sat. I'm assyoumeing that after I'm out the $400.00 plus. The sat button on the rf 6 will activate sat radio & readout will come across on nav map like fm does. The adapter is out of sight right? All the dealer knows is. It's a adapter, bracket, antena, & $400.00 bucks please. While I'm on the subject of pimp'en out the ride. I went to the infinite dealer. The wood steering wheel on the QX56. Looks like an exact match. Console is the same but has TM & VDC switches on it. Both look pretty good. Didn't check the price. Already knew I couldn't justify it. Anybody tried the wood steering wheels or dash kits from www.exoticwooddash.com? I could swing that but. I'm not a country music writer & I'm not looking for any new material.

I have the factory installed XM on my truck and it works great, the recepetion is far better than my siruis I had in my chevy. Whats kinda weird tho is they install the atenna on the drivers rear window and it appears they even drill a hole thru it. Its looks nice and prefessional but I just thought it was odd.

Did it help the fm reception any? Does any thing show other than the antenna? Display is in nav screen right? If all answers are yes I'm goin with it. Hopefully antenna wire is long enough to make it out the 3rd brake light.
