I'm trying to play a CD and I'm trying to show the track name on the display screen (no nav, just regular) and it won't show up even if I change screen mode to show track titles, etc. Is there any secret method in burning these cds to show these titles? Or do I have to deal with it and memorize all the songs?

I don't think it will show you that type of info for CDs.  I think that type of info only comes from MP3's.  Unless I'm mistaken, the CD Player in the Titan (both standard and Rockford Fosgate models) are not MP3 compatible.

No, actually you can do it with regular CD's just fine.  You just have to use the "Write CD Text" option on your burning software.

Learn something new everyday...I didn't know that.

Yeah, it's pretty cool.  On the Fosgate, it throws the text up like it would with the XM/Sirius option, except of course, you are playing a CD.  You can set your stereo to only flash up the album name or track title (which hides the track info), OR you can keep the numbers on the LCD, and simply hit the tuner button once to see the track title of a song you are curious about.  If the CD you are listening to does not contain text, then hitting the tuner button will just pull up the usual BASS adjustment option for a few moments.

Will Windows Media Player 9 do this?  That is what I use to make my CDs and keep my media lists.

Hmm, it doesn't appear that you can.  I've looked through it and don't see the option.  I use 2 different programs - Roxio Easy CD Creator and Nero.  They both have pretty easy ways of burning track and CD titles to the CD.  WMP doesn't have any such obvious option.  I also tried looking around some newsgroups for the answer, and there is no mention of it.  Sorry!

I have a copy of Nero 5.  Maybe I will install that and look for the option.  Thanks for your help. :)

Are you sure MP3's can't play in the Titan? I'm sure if you plug in a MP3 player in the auxillary port you may be able to play music from it.. I already ordered my MP3 to use in the truck. Hope it works tho

thanks for the info about the cd track information. i'll be using nero and not windows media
