Has anyone thought of and in fact did this?  I didn't get the DVD and NAV option, partly because I have the SE not the LE.  But would I love to have that!  How much of a hassle is it to install after the fact?  Is it as easy as just plugging into the existing system or are we talking rip apart mods with have the Truck torn apart?  If anyone has either done this or knows about this, please reply.  I hope it is as easy as just a few plug in's.

Thanks

Smokey

Salesman told me it was a totaly different harness. Might have been bs to sell me le. Actually it's not as cool as it seems. First off, there is an anoying disclaimer you have to press every time you start the truck to activate it. And the info. on the dvd seems to be about two years old. Alot of new streets aren't on it. It's a cool gizmo you use alot the first two weeks. I leave it on the feul econemy graph most of the time. Tire pressure is a cool thing, but it doesn't tell you which tire is which. It would be really cool if they would have made a rpm graph in color like the map feature is.

Thanks for the reply, if you hear different please let me know.  Interesting about how it works.  I could see it being just a novelty for a while.  The DVD is the real interest, but the NAV would go along just for principal.

Thanks

Alot of times key map ends up in a different truck. It has came in handy.

I dont know if it plays regular dvds. I'd give it a shot, but I don't want to frits the system. I don't think the screan has enough pixels. & there is no controls for palying movies in system. IE forward, reverse, volume, ect.

Anybody know for sure?

The Nav unit is just a DVD-Rom, it cant play DVD movies, it can only read Nav disks, which sucks, but I am currently looking into somehow wiring the rear dvd player into the front unit. The QX56 comes with a back up camera and uses basically the same system so I think it is possible, I will let you know if I figure it out

32 out the door??!!  Did you steal it?  That is a great price out the door.  The only reason I didn't get the LE is because all of the LE's I looked at were stickered for 40K and more. That would mean one hell of a fight to get that down to below 30K and then add all of that goverment $$ (Tax, Title, other fees) to get out the door for 32K.

Great job!!
