I have this old fire engine siren.  I used to have it wired up in my old pickup, but I since sold the pickup but kept the siren.

I was wondering if there was a way to somehow wire it up to a converter so I could power it via a switch from a wall plug.

Anyone know how I could do this?  I have seen AC to DC adapters, but most of the DC recepticles are like female lighter sockets.  If I knew how, I suppose I could wire a male end lighter adapter to the siren, but not sure if that is possible either.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks. :)

It will work. When I was young, and could barley make the rent on my first apt. I came across a car sterio on the cheap. (so to speak). A converter as well from a local hardware store. Brought some scrap wood home from work and I was in buisness.
