My dealer told me that all Titans were wired for the Trailer Brake harness.

I've spent 2 hours under the dash of my 04 XE KC and can't find the plug anywhere!!!

It's got the plugs for both relays. The trailer brake lights and running lights work.

Anyone know??

Thanks

Happy holidays.

if you are referring to the female harness the location is by the back bumper. its a rather large plug wrapped around some other wires so it wont hang down. relay and fuse box behind the battery.

the one under the dash was very hard to find but it was taped to other wires with white tape. The wires hung down on the driver door side of the stearing wheel. It was way up there. Only one hand could fit up there.

I am having the same problem locating the plug for the wiring harness to connect my trailer brake controller on my 2005 Titan.  I found two black plugs and one smaller white plug on the driver's door side of the steering wheel but none of those three plugs match the Nissan wiring harness (Part Number 24167-A6000).  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I had to get on my back look up for about 10 minutes to find it. Once located I could reach it or see it but not both. It was way up there.

Had no problem locating it. however it was taped so much that I like to never got it loose. Could only get one hand in space to get the tape off. Also very short and difficult to hook up.

Thank you for the information.  After spending a fair amount of time I was able to locate it.  You are correct, removing the gray/white tape required VERY CAREFULL work with a shallow-extended sharp utility knife.  The brake controller is hooked up and works great!

The plug for the brake controller is WAY UP UNDER THE DASH and hard to locate.  It took me quite a bit of time to locate it - just stay with it.  All Titans are prewired for trailer connections.  The plug is taped on its own wire up under the rear bumper.  You have to get an adapter for that plug (I got one from Courtesy Niisan's website for under $10) and also you will have to obtain/fabricate a mounting bracket for that adapter as it does not fit into a standard 7-plug trailer adapter.  The location for the required trailer light and brake controller relays is on the passenger side of the pickup, under the hood, behind the battery in a black enclosed plastic case (it resembles a plastic tray that would store o-rings or screws).  Good luck.
