Has anyone else noticed a drag or pull when just cruising or coasting at moderate speeds??  In other words, you are either coasting or just using a bit of throttle and it seems like something is dragging or trying to pull you down??

The dealer looked at it and basically told me it was in my head.

As soon as you add some moderate throttle it goes away.  Almost like the front and rear diffs are fighting against another.

Hmmm...gravity...friction...wind resistance...just kidding....lol..but seriously, maybe what your describing is the same thing i have noticed. I sometimes notice something that feels like its slowing you down for just a second or 2. I have noticed it when I'm coasting downhill or sometimes when the cruise control is on....I think what I'm sensing is a downshift...is almost imperceptable...hope its not a tranny problem....GL

I have had the same thing happen to me especially coasting downhill. The first time it happened it worried me allittle, but maybe the fifth time I barely applied the brake for about 3secs and it felt like something just unlocked. The Allison 6 speed automatics have close to the same symptoms.

I have actually noticed this too.  It seems to happen when I take my foot off the accelerator quickly...almost like the truck is anticipating I'm going to slam the brakes on.

I know the Titan LE (and the other models I presume) an emergency braking assist feature where if the truck detects you are slamming the brakes on, it assists to apply extra braking force.  Maybe quickly taking your foot off the accelerator puts the truck into this "anticipation" mode?

The reference to the assisted emnergency braking was in my manual.  I believe it is an option on some, but standard on the LE (don't quote me on that).
