Has anyone noticed a clicking in the top end of the engine. It is not the valves. It seems like it is right in the middle of the top end. I hope this is not an indicator of a problem. I love the truck so far, but I am a little concerned with this noise. I pulled up in my driveway tonight and with the truck in gear and stopped I heard this noise inside the truck and it was really loud. I opened the hood and could also hear it. It mostly went away after I was sitting in the driveway for a few minutes, but I could put it in reverse, back up a little, and then pull back up and stop and I would hear it again. I guess I will talk to the local service manager.

Hey not to worry thats seems pretty common, I found out thats its a purge valve of some sort. I can't remeber which forum it was on. Nissan is currently investigating. Mine has it sometimes also, but it happens less often. Check the 4wd hi/lo range also. Good luck

Hey thanks for the reply. I also went by the dealership and spoke with the service manager, who is a friend of mine. We drove it and then looked it over. It seems that the main clicking noise is the fuel injectors themselves. They are pretty loud. We then took a new one for a test drive and found that it did the same thing. The purge valve that you spoke of makes sense to me for the other noise I was hearing. It does not happen all the time, but it concerned me when I heard it for the first time.

I have been totally satisfied with the purchase of the Titan. I can't stop grinning when I am in a parking lot and someone stops me to ask about it. I hope to add nerf bars by DeeZee as soon as they make the ones I want available.
