I have had constant rattling like something vibrating behind the dash - been back to the dealer 5 times and they say they see problems with plastic/metal cables not secured properly, but they haven't been able to fix it yet. They have put in pieces of insulation 3 times and is hasn't helped.

You need to try another dealer or do some intervention yourself. A rattle should be easier to pinpoint than those annoying squeeks and creeks. If it really does "rattle" then something is loose and a bit easier to find.

If it was me, I would remove the glove box and panel under the steering wheel first. Still got the noise ? Take a rubber mallet and start thumping on the exposed metal frame you see after removing those panels. See of you can get the rattle to happen and try to pinpoint it.

Ya, could be a loose cable, wire connector, black/white box, radio
