Hi all,

I'm not sure if this has been posted. I'm new to the board and also just recently purchase an 05 titan. I would just like to know if it is normal for the Service Engine Soon indicator to turn on the first 900miles.

Thanks,

Mark

Already fixed the problem. Gas cap had to be super tight and shiet which isn't cool. I know I always tighten that up to a point where I can't almost open it. Anyhow, I tried to open and close it again and the SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator came off. wooot woottt

Make sure you guys lock it tight to about 7 clicks.

Well at least it didn't take 2-3 weeks in the shop before it was fixed.

you gas cap doesnt click when you get it tight enough, I know mine comes off with a 1/4 turn and clicks at about a half of a turn and removal isnt that hard. My 5year old daughter takes the gas cap off for me at the pump so what do you mean to the point that you cant almost remove it. If thats the case then you need a new gas cap.

whut up guys, i'm new 2 the forum, i also have a 2005 titan se king cab, i've had it 4 about 3 months now and i had the same problem, at about 3200 miles the service engine light came on. i took it in 2 the dealer the guy there pluged a  machine in under the steering wheel and that was it. he didn't mention much about it but said if it came on again 2 bring it back in. on tuesday i'll be taking it in so they can replace the front rotors and brakes. when i brake the steering wheel shakes real bad.

Try this one on,

My check engine light came on a few days ago. I brought it to my dealer, found out the code dealt with the emissions. Service manager was straight forward and told me that they would have to call the tech line, this code was all new to them. On Friday, I went back and they called, tech line wants them to replace both catyltic convertors and check to see if they are blocked up or falling apart. As I see it from the description of the phone call the tech had, this appears to be a new and unknown problem that has occured in a few trucks. Engineering is looking for something. Anyone else out there hear about this?

2004 SE King 4X4 Off Road/Big Tow

ps truck history...I've owned it for 6 months the dealer has had it for everything from crank sensor to rear end andd now this for 3 months and counting...wauting for Nissan to accept that they sold me ^%$$ and do the RIGHT THING!!!
