Sounds like a bunch of bull to me. Here in Wash. when the traction advisories go out and passes require chains you had better have them on. My dealer never brought it up, if they did, nobody would buy a Nissan in this state because you cannot drive. Awhile back the road was closed outside of Pendleton Or. heading up into the blue Mts. by our friendly troopers. Long story short, pull over, put on chains or turn around.
I have never checked but I think car manufacturers policy on this is they won't void the warranty, but will not be responsible for damages caused by chains to your vehicle. Call Nissan
