   I don't think its related, because I've had that happen before... Sometimes (when shifting in/out of the different 4X4 modes) it takes a little while for the sensor to lock. Sometimes the truck has to roll 20-50 feet before the sensor will lock on one of the modes.   The problem that we were having was that It would blink into 4lo when going down the highway at 75mph... of course nothing was going on in the tranny, just a faulty indicator.    You probably would have found that it would have locked into 4lo after a few more feet.     Hope that helps....   I use to have a jeep that was the same way... just takes a little while for everything to line up, then update the sensor on the dash.

I had the same problem with my 4LO light going on and off, even at freeway speeds. It was the exact same sensor as roadrash1970. Only two months ago they didn't even have a part number for the sensor. It took them a week to get it in and they replaced it in about an hour. The best thing is to take it in to the dealer and let them determine what's wrong, if anything.

Additional Info on this problem guys;

First, great site for seeing all TSB'S

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Bulletins/Titan/2004/1.htm

Also, specific to this problem;

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownership/Bulletins/Nissan/2004/ NTB04-036.htm

note the build date, and VIN Number cutoff;

Talk about being lucky, my Titan was build in January, but must have been after January 15th, because my VIN Number is higher than that, and after 3500 miles, I have not seen this problem.

Hope you guys find this useful!

This is how my problem started.  The wire harnass on the transmission is shorting out.  Pretty soon you won't be able to start your truck.  The harnass is corrording.  My TITAN is in the shop waiting for a new transmission .  The dealer said could take up to two weeks.  The mechanic said he thinks it is a design flaw and eventually all the TITANs will have to have the transmission replaced.

Me thinks your mechanic is an idiot and me also thinks you're a poser.
