I have recently purchased my Titan and love it.  I am new to this forum and not sure if I am posting this in the correct place.

Does anyone have a problem with the tail gate not seeming to latch or close "tight".  Every time I shut mine, I have to open it and slam it shut to make sure it is closed all the way.  Any one else have this trouble?

It latches on both sides. I have to push on each upper corner, but that is because I built a bed cover that fits a little too tight.

Mine closes very easily.  Almost too easily.  I could close it with one finger.  I think I would prefer a bit more snugness.

There might be an alignment problem. It happens and is an easy fix.

Tenn,  They corrected that issue on the 2005 models.  They have a system that will not allow the tailgate to slam down.

Edit:  Called TeNN  TeEn.  Sorry.

I just bought mine yesterday and found that same problem today.  It is so cold outside (-5F) that the rubber cushions between the tailgate and bed couldn't expand to take up the "gap".  I left it in the sun and it was just enough to heat up the rubber cushion to were they expanded enough to give a tight fit.

don't slam it to hard because it will break and be stuck closed like mine was for a month until the service department could fix it for me!!
